A thermal monocular is the tool you scan with — before the stalk, before you shoulder anything. The Pixfra Sirius is a handheld thermal spotter that picks a warm body out of a cold paddock at real distance, so you know what's out there and where it is while you're still deciding what to do about it. It rides in a jacket pocket, runs off a replaceable 18650, and is sealed to IP67 for the weather you actually hunt in.
Pixfra is one of the few brands that designs and manufactures its own thermal sensor cores, which is what lets it offer the Sirius as a whole family rather than a single model. There are five, across two sensor tiers. The 640×512 tier: the Sirius Standard (S650), a single 50 mm optic and the value way in; the Sirius LRF (S650LRF), the same optic with a built-in 1,000 m laser rangefinder; and the Sirius Zoom (S650D), a dual field-of-view model that switches between a wide 25 mm scanning view and a tight 50 mm detail view. The higher-resolution 1280×1024 HD tier: the Sirius HD (SA50), a single 50 mm optic on the finer sensor; and the Sirius HD Zoom (SA70D), a dual 35 / 70 mm model that reaches out to 3,600 m. Every model shares the same ≤18 mK sensitivity, FHD OLED, six palettes, 64 GB storage and Wi-Fi app.

The 640 tier: the way most hunters buy in.
Three models share the 640×512 ≤18 mK sensor. The Sirius Standard (S650) is the value entry — a single 50 mm F0.9 optic at 3.45×, reaching 2,600 m detection. The Sirius LRF (S650LRF) adds a built-in laser rangefinder accurate to ±1 metre out to 1,000 m, so you scan, find the animal, and press once to know exactly how far away it is. The Sirius Zoom (S650D) instead carries a dual field-of-view lens — a wide 25 mm view at 1.72× to sweep a paddock quickly and a 50 mm view at 3.45× to confirm what you've found, switching without refocusing. Pick the Standard to keep it simple, the LRF to range what you find, or the Zoom to scan faster.
The HD tier: a finer sensor, and the longest reach.
Two models step up to a 1280×1024 sensor — four times the pixels of the 640 tier, for a more detailed thermal picture. The Sirius HD (SA50) is a single 50 mm F1.0 optic at 1.72×, detecting to 2,600 m on the finer sensor. The Sirius HD Zoom (SA70D) is the flagship: a dual field-of-view lens switching between a 35 mm wide view (1.21×, detection 1,800 m) and a 70 mm tight view (2.41×, detection 3,600 m) — the longest reach in the range. Both keep the same ≤18 mK sensitivity, FHD OLED, six palettes, 64 GB storage and Wi-Fi app as the rest of the family; the HD sensor and, on the SA70D, the longer optic are what you're paying the step up for.

Thermal detection distance refers to a large heat source under favourable conditions and is a sensor benchmark for comparison, not a shooting or identification distance — identification happens far closer. Figures are drawn from the Pixfra PFI-S650LRF, PFI-SA50 and PFI-SA70D datasheets; the Standard (PFI-S650) mirrors the S650LRF without the rangefinder, and the Zoom (PFI-S650D) figures follow the manufacturer's published S650D specification. Base-S650 net weight is not separately published; the LRF adds the rangefinder module.
