The Arc LRF is built from the ground up for one-handed operation: compact and genuinely light, from around 370 g, with the controls under your fingers and thumb.

A plain thermal monocular shows you an animal is out there. It can’t tell you how far away it is — and in the dark, distance is the hardest thing of all to judge by eye. The Arc LRF solves that: put the reticle on your target, press the button, and the precise distance appears on screen, out to 1,000 m and accurate to roughly a metre.
That number changes the next move. It tells you whether an animal is in range or whether you need to close the gap, and lets you plan a stalk with real information instead of a guess. Transfer to your rifle and you already know the exact range — so your hold, or your dial, is right the first time.

A thermal monocular doesn’t amplify light the way traditional night vision does — it reads heat. Every living animal radiates infrared heat, and the Arc LRF’s sensor turns that into a clear image on its display. That’s why thermal works in total darkness: it isn’t using light at all, so there’s nothing for the night to take away.
In practice, a warm pig, fox or deer shows up brightly against a cooler background — even bedded in shadow, in long grass or screened by light scrub. Thermal cuts straight through the camouflage game relies on, and it works by day as well as by night.
A few numbers matter most. Sensor resolution — 384×288 or 640×512 — sets how much detail you see; a 640 resolves a clearer, more identifiable shape at distance. NETD, in millikelvin, is thermal sensitivity, and a lower number is better — the Arc LRF runs a sharp ≤20 mK. And the lens — 25, 35 or 50 mm — sets your reach, with the 50 mm model detecting heat out to 2,600 m. A monocular is a detection tool, not an aiming device — the perfect partner to a riflescope, and for many hunters the first thermal they buy.
